Haiti Activate Talk II: Child Rights – Yesterday and Tomorrow

Shaping the next 25 years 

 

On November 20, UNICEF Haiti hosted an Activate talk to showcase progress made for children during the past 25 years, and to discuss how more can be done differently during the next 25 years.

Seven children and three Haitian child rights activists discussed what remains to be done to make the Convention of the rights of the child come true for every single girl and boy in Haiti: Doing more and using innovation to do better.

The talk was moderated by the UNICEF Haiti Representative Edouard Beigbeder. Speakers included:

  • Mme Arielle Jeanty VILLEDROUIN, Directrice générale de l’Institut pour le Bien-être sociale et la recherche (IBESR)
  • Dr Michel Pierre André CAYEMITTES, Directeur Général à l’Institut Haïtien de l’Enfance
  • Docteur Dodley SEVERE, Chef de Département de Pédiatrie à l’Université d’État d’Haïti (U.E.H.) et Assistant-Chef de Service de Pédiatrie à l’Hôpital de l’Université d’État d’Haïti (H.U.E.H.)
